I have chosen to braid her hair in several plaits, and tuck and pin them so that the back will not hang down. Why have I chosen this style? 1. is that it has several parts, where I can easily apply oil to her scalp at night. 2. Her hair is easily accessible where I can give it a quick spritz at night and in the morning so that it can be moisturized. 3. She is very wild, and keeping it pinned up helps to keep her hair neat. 4. If it so happens that she messes it up, all I have to do is take the 2 cornrolls in the front down, rebraid and she is good to go. I am assuming I may have to do this mid week. This is what she will be rocking for this year. As she grows older and she is more reserved, we will try out different styles, but for now I have to choose styles that makes sense for her and myself. She is a little girl so I don’t try and do extravagant hairstyles. The main goal is that her hair is healthy, and a lot of the times the extravagant hair styles are too abrasive on the hair.
