Broccoli Butter (Brassica oleracea italica)

Broccoli seed oil is known as a natural alternative to the silicon in hair care products. Its unique feel and penetrating ability impart a natural, healthy shine to skin and hair. 

 

Capuacu Butter (Theobroma Grandiflorum)

Cupuacu can be found in the Amazon rainforest in Brazil. This butter nourishes the hair and the scalp with the vitamins it holds. It seals in moisture which gives your hair a very soft texture. The butter also strengthens and protects the hair cuticle. It can also function as a skin hydrator because of its high percentage of water, phytosterols, polyphenols, and fatty acids. These help repair dry, damaged skin, and they also protect and moisturize the skin. 

 

 

Coco Butter (Theobroma)

Cocoa butter pods are grown on the Evergreen Cocoa trees in Brazil. This ingredient is high in antioxidants, which is good for skin care products because it fights off free radicals, increases blood circulation which helps reduce breakouts and wrinkles. It’s also good for hair because it prevents hair loss and allows the hair to grow in richer. 

 

Illipe Butter

Illipe Butter comes from the Illipe tree in the forest of Borneo in the South Pacific. Illipe has been known for its incredible moisturizing properties and its ability to restore elasticity to hair and skin. It's extremely helpful in the treatment of dry or over-processed hair.

 

Mango Butter (Mangifera indica)

With mango butter, you can rid yourself of dry scalp because of its moisturizing properties due to its vitamins, minerals, and polyunsaturated fats. It also has a moisture sealing property which allows your hair to stay softer longer. Mango butter is very emollient. It protects the skin from the sun and treats skin rashes such as eczema. Has vitamin A, C and E. Vitamin A and C are direct contributors to hair growth, and it has natural UV protection and helps to maintain moisture in hair.

 

Murumuru Butter (Astrocaryum Murumuru Seed Butter)

Murumuru Seed Butter is pressed from the reddish-orange fruits of the Astrocaryum murumuru tree. It's known to promote moisture retention in hair and skin, restore sheen and softness while improving the flexibility of your hair. Absolutely wonderful for conditioning dry, brittle, damaged hair and skin. Creates a permeable barrier that is said to prevent moisture loss when applied to wet hair/skin while keeping hair soft and pliable and skin super soft.

 

 

Shea Butter (Vitellaria Paradoxa)

Shea butter comes from Sahel, Africa and softens, soothes, and moisturizes hair by locking in moisture. It has high levels of vitamin A and E which are needed to help improve skin conditions like eczema. Shea butter is a good antioxidant, has anti-inflammatory properties, sun protection, healing agent and is great when used as a sealer. Shea butter is not a moisturizer but should always be used to seal in moisture. Apply to damp skin or hair.

 

 

 

Ucuuba Butter

Native to Central and South America, Ucuuba Butter is a natural butter cold pressed from the seeds of the Ucuuba tree. Ucuuba Butter is exceptionally rich in essential fatty acids and can be used to replenish tone and moisture to dry or mature skin/hair.

Apple Cider Vinegar (Malus Sylvestris)

Apple cider vinegar is found in western Asia and made from apple juice that has been fermented twice, first to make it hard apple cider, then the second time to make it apple cider vinegar. This ingredient removes dirt and product buildup from hair. It also works as a detangler. When used frequently, it can revitalize and strengthen your hair.

 

 

 Almond Oil (Prunus dulcis tree)

Helps to soften and moisturize hair and body. It adds softness, shine, protects from styling damage, restores moisture to the scalp, and helps soothe damaged ends. Almond oil has the ability to do all this because it is high in Omega-3. Omega-3 has the power to fight dryness and reduce circulation to the scalp. It adds polish, radiance, and resilience to your hair. Omega-3 also aids in hair regrowth, it grows in quicker, thicker, and stronger.

 

 

 Aloe Vera Gel/Juice (Barbadensis Miller)

Aloe vera is a plant that originated in Sudan. It gradually got popular for the way it healed wounds, moisturized skin, aided in digestion, and many other uses. The aloe vera leaves produce a mucilage liquid, which means it's thick, like gel. This is why it can be called aloe vera gel. It's used for hair because it provides moisture and shine, it helps prevent hair loss and dandruff, as well as allowing the hair to grow in thicker and stronger.

 

Argon Oil

All natural moisturizer for skin and hair. It is rich with vitamin A and vitamin E. However, argan oil is also packed with anti-oxidants, Omega-6 fatty acids, and linoleic acid. Research shows that when applied to the skin, it eases inflammation while moisturizing the skin. Argan oil helps to tame frizz and fly-aways, protect against the heat of hair dryers, curlers, and flat irons, all the while promoting body and a healthy shine.

 

 

 Aspen Bark Extract (Quaking Aspen Tree)

The Quaking Aspen tree is grown throughout the northwestern part of North America. ABE is a natural preservative, which means it helps the product last longer and ensures that it won't spoil, grow mold, yeast, or any other bacteria.

 

Avocado (Persea Americana)

The avocado tree is native to Central America and Mexico. Avocado oil can be extracted from the fruit and used to provide nutrients for the hair and skin. It is full of monounsaturated fatty acids. This provides your hair with moisture, strength, and acts as a shield to protect hair from becoming damaged from heat. It also helps the hair grow in stronger because the oil activates blood flow to the roots of your hair. The oil also has a large amount of vitamin E and antioxidants. This allows the oil to protect, grow, unclog roots, and strengthen your hair even more.

 

Basil (Tulsi/Ocimum basilicum)

Basil, a native Indian plant, helps improve skin and hair. This plant prevents breakouts, blackheads, and rejuvenates your skin. It allows you to have healthier skin altogether. The benefits basil have for hair are that it strengthens, prevents hair loss, and revitalizes hair follicles. It is a good source of Omega-3 which allows you to have stronger, healthier, longer hair.

 

Beeswax

Beeswax refers to the natural wax produced by honeybees in their beehives. Beeswax is a natural treatment to stimulate hair growth. Furthermore, being a good thickening agent, beeswax helps add volume to your hair while keeping it soft, shiny, and more manageable. It is also beneficial in protecting the hair from environmental damage.

 

Botanicals

Our botanicals are a blend of Yarrow, Sage, Horsetail, Nettle, and Lavender. These botanicals have soothing and conditioning benefits while also giving a slip to products.

 

BTMS (Active Ingredients) 

BTMS is a conditioning emulsifier that aids in blending oil and water together. BTMS is derived from colza oil.

 

Burdock Root

According to Herbal Legacy, burdock contains a large number of beneficial constituents including mucilage, tannins, inulin, vitamin A and essential fatty acids, all of which have a number of possible benefits, including helping to nourish hair and skin, promoting hair growth.

 

Calendula Oil

Calendula oil applied to the scalp promotes the growth of stronger hair by increasing collagen production and circulation in hair follicles.

 


Candelilla Wax

Candelilla is obtained from the coating of the “wax slipper plant” (Euphorbia Cerifera) found mainly in Mexico

 

Castor Oil (Ricinus Communis)

Ricinus, a plant that sprouts beans that produce the oil, originated in the tombs of Egypt. China, India, and Brazil have become the major producers of this crop. Castor Oil improves circulation to the scalp which allows the hair to grow faster. It also prevents hair loss, repairs damaged ends and provides moisture for the scalp.

 

Coconut Oil (Cocos nicifera)

Coconut oil promotes hair growth, makes the hair stronger, and it reduces breakage. It’s very high in triglycerides (saturated fatty acids) and vitamin E, which protect the skin and hair from becoming damaged from things like the sun and free radicals. Coconut oil also gives your hair sheen, it allows moisture to penetrate your hair follicles giving the hair a soft texture.

 

Curry Leaves (Kadi Patta)

These leaves help prevent thinning, grey hair, and also help revive the hair shaft and promote hair growth.

 

Citric Acid

Citric acid occurs naturally in citrus fruits. We use citric acid to bring down the ph levels of our products, ensuring that all products are ph balanced.

 

Crothix (PEG-150 Pentaerythrityl tetrastearate (and) PEG-6 Capric/Caprylic glycerides)

This blend is used in our surfactant based systems to give texture to our shampoo.

 

Decyl Polyglucoside

Surfactant (Helps tension between water and oil) composed of sugar (glucose) derived from corn starch and fatty alcohols (decanol) derived from coconuts.

 

Emulsifying Wax

Emulsifying wax is what binds water and oil together. It is vegetable derived and biodegradable.

 

Extra Virgin Olive Oil

EVOO is a great source of vitamin A and vitamin E. Both these vitamins provide nutrients and protection for the hair and skin. The oil is able to get deep into the root of your hair and moisturize the scalp making sure it gets all the nutrients it needs. The oil does the same for the skin. It protects and moisturizes deep into the skin, leaving your skin silky smooth.

 

Flaxseed Gel & Oil

Flaxseed has the best source of Omega-3 fatty acids, they help to hydrate, protect, soften, and moisturize the skin. It also prevents hair loss and encourages hair growth. In the ways it moisturizes the skin, flax does the same for the hair. It locks in moisture and protects the hair from becoming damaged.

 

Grape Seed Oil (Vitis vinifera)

Grapeseed oil is very high in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E, and polyunsaturated fats. This oil moisturizes the scalp, helps the hair grow, fights dandruff, and strengthens hair. Regular use of grape seed oil as a supplement to your regular hair-care products will leave you with stronger, healthier, more attractive hair.

 

Hazelnut Oil (Corylus avellana)

Hazelnut oil acts as an excellent emollient and moisturizer because it has a number of essential fatty acids such as linoleic acid, which can rehydrate the skin. So, this oil is extensively used in treating dry skin. Moreover, this oil is very light and easily gets absorbed into the skin. It also doesn't have any side effects and so it is used in many skin care products. Apart from this, the antibacterial and astringent properties prevent the excessive secretion of skin oil that results in acne, thus maintaining soft skin. It can also be used as a skin protector, i.e.; sunscreen.

 

Hemp Seed (Canabis sativa)

Hemp seed has high levels of Omega-3, Omega-6, and vitamin E which are nutrients that moisturize your hair. The oil extracted from the seeds is a great conditioner and moisturizer, it stimulates hair growth and strengthens the hair.

 

Herb Blend

Our herbs are a blend of organic chamomile, organic orange peel, organic hibiscus, and organic lemon myrtle. We use these herbs for its soothing purposes and extra slip.

 

Honey

Honey contains vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, it has antibacterial properties, and even acts as a humectant which means it attracts moisture. It is antibacterial which allows it to clarify skin by unclogging and opening pores. Raw honey is an emollient which is a natural softener, an antioxidant which promotes hair growth, and humectant which helps prevent the loss of moisture, also an antiseptic and antibacterial property, and it can bring back the lost sheen to your hair.

 

Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein

Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein is a naturally derived, hydrolyzed wheat protein that contains wheat oligosaccharides (carbohydrates) and constitutes a unique hydrating complex offering a combination of moisture-balancing and film-forming properties that work synergistically to give hair better body control, and skin, a smoother softer feel.

 

Indian Healing Bentonite Clay

All natural clay derived in California helps to lift toxins from the pores.

 

Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis)

Jojoba oil is very efficient when treating dry and damaged hair because it treats the scalp with its antibacterial properties, and healthy hair starts at the root. It also contains vitamins B and E, and minerals like copper, chromium, and zinc which aid in hair growth and protection of the cuticle, scalp, and individual strands. They also aid in hair growth.

 

Lanolin

Lanolin is an all natural oil that is produced from sheep. Lanolin is a fantastic moisturizer, locking in existing oil and is able to absorb moisture from the air. Lanolin is a lipid-rich emollient. Dryness is a cause of lack of lipids, (water escaping) Lanolin helps to protect that.

 

Lauryl Glucoside

Lauryl glucoside is derived from Coconut. Lauryl glucoside is useful in hair care products where it aids hair cleaning abilities.

 

Sodium Lactate

Sodium Lactate is a liquid salt that is naturally derived from the natural fermentation of sugars found in corn and beets. Because Sodium Lactate is a salt, it is a natural humectant, providing moisture.

 

Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia)

Lavender is a natural anti-inflammatory which allows it to keep your scalp healthy. Because lavender is a soothing oil it also helps you relax and studies show that high-stress levels lead to hair loss and scalp issues, like alopecia. Lavender is added to the product to give it a scent, a soothing scent, and to aid in the healthiness of the scalp.

 

Lemon Oil (Citrus Limon)

Lemon oil helps hair grow faster, it reduces dry scalp and prevents hair loss. It gives you great, healthy looking hair because it stimulates the sebaceous glands in the scalp to produce sebum. But, unlike other oils, lemon oil makes sure the sebaceous glands do not overproduce so the hair doesn't look very oily, it restores them back to normal so the glands don’t generate too much sebum. This oil gives you healthy, vibrant hair. Lemon oil also balances and rejuvenates the skin and provides a natural tonifier when skin becomes very oily.

 

Lime Oil (Citrus aurantiifolia)

Lime has a lot of healing properties which allows it to restore the hair’s quality and texture. Lime oil rids your hair of dandruff because it provides oil for the scalp. It’s a natural conditioner because it removes excess oils that are secreted by the scalp. It also decreases the amount of hair you shed because it strengthens the scalp and regular use of the oil can also increase hair growth.

 

Mongongo Oil (Schinziophyton rautanenii)

The mongongo tree is a member of the Euphorbia family. Mongongo oil is used as a body rub by the Kung bushmen of the Kalahari to cleanse and moisturize their skin and protect it against the harsh desert environment.

 

 

Neem Oil

Neem oil is a vegetable oil pressed from the fruits and seeds of the neem (Azadirachta indica), an evergreen tree which is endemic to the Indian subcontinent. Neem oil protects the scalp skin from ongoing damage that is caused by the free radicals. Its moisturizing effects revitalizes and restores dry, under-nourished or rough hair to a smooth, silky texture. Regular application of the neem oil will strengthen hair from the roots, increase blood circulation in the scalp, and help with hair growth.

 

PEG-6 Caprylic/Capric Glycerides, Polyglyceryl 6 Dioleate blend

We use Caprylic/ capric glycerides and polyglyceryl 6 dioleate blend to give our products an extra conditioning feel. They are good for softening and conditioning. They are derived from the coconut fatty acids and a vegetable derived polyglycerol ester.

 

Peppermint Oil (Mentha piperita)

Peppermint oil helps hair grow, cures dry scalp, and stops hair loss. It also helps reduce excess oil that the scalp produces. It balances the scalps pH level and gives a great tingling sensation. This oil helps get rid of an oily or dry scalp. The oil penetrates and stimulates the hair follicle, this improves blood circulation to the scalp which allows the hair follicles to grow as much as possible, enhancing hair growth.

 

Plantain Extract Blend

Plantain extract blend is a humectant that offers skin soothing properties. It is antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, emollient and astringent.

 

PlantaMulse

Natural Plant Source, PEG-free, biodegradable emulsifier made from the esters of glycerin and fatty acids.

 

Optiphen Plus Preservative

Paraben-free and formaldehyde-free preservative system. Offers effective protection against bacteria, yeast and mold growth while imparting emollient.

 

Rice Water

Rice water has amazing hair and skin benefits. Recent research has shown that rice water exhibit hair care effects, such as decreasing surface friction and improving hair elasticity. Rice water has inositol, a carbohydrate, that can repair damaged hair, as well as protect it from damage. Specialized imaging technique shows that inositol stays inside the hair even after rinsing, offering continuing hair protection and beautifying effects.

 

 

Rosehip Extract

Rose hips are the fruits produced by nearly 3,000 species of ornamentals that comprise the Rosaceae family, including the common rose. rosehip oil will aid in shiny, smooth, and dandruff-free hair.

 

Rosemary Oil (Rosmarinus officinalis)

Rosemary helps hair grow because it stimulates the scalp improving circulation to the roots. It also protects the skin from the sun, provides moisture, gently cleans hair, adds sheen, and ensures a healthy, dandruff-free scalp.

 

SCI Pearl (Active ingredients) (Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate)

SCI pearl Is a surfactant used to lessen the tension of liquid and oil combinations. It gives a luxurious feel to our shampoo with a conditioning benefit. It is derived from the coconut and is biodegradable.

 

Silk Amino Acids

SAA is a protein that really penetrates the hair to provide nourishment and strength. It helps rebuild strength to chemically damaged hair. It leaves your hair soft, silky, and smooth. It does not weigh the hair down or cause product buildup. Silk proteins that bind the tiny fibers in silk. They are used to prevent dehydration of the hair and skin when applied to the hair the protein binds to the already keratin protein that is in the hair naturally. This creates and barrier in order to keep the moisture in. Silk amino acids come from the silk moth caterpillar.

 

Sodium Cocoamphoacetate

Sodium Cocoamphoacetate is a coconut oil-derived surfactant, foam booster, and conditioning agent.

 

Sodium Cocoyl Glutamate

Sodium cocoyl glutamate is a dispersant or surfactant that is made from coconut or palm oil and glucose from corn. Helps ease tension in water when making our shampoo.

 

Sodium Lauryl Glucose Carboxylate

Derived from glucoside from coconut and corn. It is also used as a natural replacement for the ingredient known as sodium laureth sulfate, or SLES. It is seen used in our shampoo formula as mild sulfate free shampoo.

 

Stearic Acid 

Stearic acid occurs naturally in vegetables. It is used to ease the tension of water and oil mixtures by stabilizing it. It gives our products a more velvety feel, and it imparts a softness to the hair and skin.

 

Sunflower Oil

An oil wealthy in Oleic acids with high amounts of vitamins A, D, and E, it also has beneficial amounts of lecithin and unsaturated fatty acids. It is deeply nourishing and conditioning for the skin.

 

Sweet Potato (Ipomoea batatas)

Sweet potatoes are an amazing source of vitamin A which helps the scalp produce the oil needed to maintain healthy skin and a healthy scalp. Great source of Vitamin A. Vitamin A helps to produce the scalp's natural oils.

 

UltraMaize (Active Ingredients) (Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate)

Hydroxypropyl Starch Phosphate is naturally derived from starch and is used to make thicken our shampoo.

 

Vegetable Glycerin

Vegetable glycerin is a humectant that has supreme softening, conditioning and moisturizing properties. It helps retain moisture in the hair.

 

Organic Vegetable Shortening

Non-hydrogenated shortening contains fatty acids and Vitamin E which is great for hair. Helps to keep hair tamed and smooth for days.

 

Vitamin E

Vitamin E promotes hair growth because it increases the blood flow to the scalp, it prevents premature graying through its potent antioxidants, this vitamin gives you shiny and strong hair, it even repairs split ends.

 

Walnut Oil

Walnut oil is a nut oil obtained from walnuts. Walnut oil is high in polyunsaturated, monounsaturated fatty acids. It possesses omega-6, omega-9, and omega-3 fats. The oil is a source of B-group vitamins, Vitamin E, zinc, selenium, calcium, magnesium, and niacin. All these vitamins and minerals boost the health of our hair and essential for its growth. It moisturizes, nourishes, has anti-fungal properties, prevention of hair loss, dandruff elimination, and accentuates natural hair color.

 

Xanthan Gum

Xanthan gum is fermented by plant-loving bacteria, it is used as a thickener or stabilizer.

 

Ylang Ylang

Ylang-ylang is extracted by steam distillation of fresh flowers of the ylang-ylang tree, and means “flower of flower”. Ylang ylang has been reputed to stimulate hair growth and is a natural hair conditioner.
